Expiratory Time IMV: 2.5 - 40 seconds

CMV + PEEP: During the expiratory phase PEEP is generated by restricting the flow of expired gas. The PEEP produced in this way may diminish during this phase, but overall gas consumption is reduced.

CMV + ACTIVE PEEP: During the expiratory phase PEEP is generated by delivering a flow in the patient circuit. The PEEP produced in this way remains constant during the expiratory period, improving the efficiency of oxygenation.

IMV + CPAP: In this mode the preset expiratory time is increased by a factor of ten and positive pressure is applied by adjusting the CPAP control. This mode is for use when the patient's dependence on CMV is being reduced.

CPAP: A continuous pressure is applied during the inspiration and expiration to a patient who is breathing spontaneously. This improves the functional residual capacity of the lungs and oxygenation.

Dual function control: When CMV modes are selected, the control gives continuous adjustment of the pressure in the breathing system during the expiratory phase. When CPAP or IMV+CPAP are selected this control gives continuous adjustment of the constant positive pressure in the breathing circuit

Monitor module incorporates inflation pressure manometer (-10 to +100 x100Pa), visual and audible alarms for high pressure, continuous pressure, low pressure/ disconnect, low gas supply pressure and other safety features

Tested in a 3 Tesla actively shielded magnet with a max gradient of 430G/cm and RF of 0.82W/kg at 125.5MHz
